¶ Using In-App Chat
Chat is available in many places in Cardboard Connect to allow for easier communication and collaboration.
Note: Notifications are only sent during direct communication with contacts, to those who are @mentioned in a chat, and to subscribers for messages posted to a lobby.
¶ @ mentions
You can @mention specific people to notify them of a message.
Notes:
- If you know their badge name just type the @ symbol and start typing their first or last name to find them.
- Tab will auto-complete with the first record or select the matching person.
- Once you know their @ handle you can just type it directly.
- Pasted @ mentions will still notify as long as the @ handle is correct
¶ Other Formatting Options
Simple HTML can also be used to make your message more readable. For more detailed messages you can write your message elsewhere and paste it into the chat.
- <hr> adds a horizontal line
- <br> adds a line break
- <b> bold text </b> emphasizes the text
Example:
